Is it a passive mental ascent to the teachings of our early pioneers? Is it simply learning and being able to expound on every point on the charts of the early pioneers? Is this all that God requires of us?
No! Though an understanding of the charts and teachings of the early pioneers who went through the great disappointment will keep us from loosing our bearings, there is more required of God to have a living faith that will prepare us for the trouble ahead.
For Hebrews 11 clearly shows us that Faith is an ACTION verb, not a passive mental ascent to some creed or doctrine. By Faith Noah prepared an ark! By Faith Abraham moved! By Faith Moses forsook Egypt! By Faith… those who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens, and etc….

If we believe the Word of God which has come to us through His prophets we will DO exactly what He commands. If we say that we believe the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy and yet refuse to walk in the counsels (Obey) that are contained therein, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
The Word of God is VERY clear on what the Midnight Cry is: Matthew 25:6 “And at midnight there was a cry made,” (what was that midnight cry?)“Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye OUT to meet Him.”
Go OUT of What?
• Go OUT of Sin, (1 John 3:4 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” “Selfishness is sin, and it grieves away the Spirit of Christ.” {ST, April 13, 1891 par. 3}).
• Go OUT of Apostasy, (An abandonment of what one has professed; a total desertion, or departure from one’s faith or religion.);
• Go OUT of False worship; 1.False(1. Not true; not conformable to fact; expressing what is contrary to that which exists, is done, said or thought. 2.Worship, 2. To respect; to honor; to treat with civil reverence.);
• Go OUT of The Cities; (Ezekiel 7:15, 23 “The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within:… and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him… for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.” “Get out of the cities into rural districts, where the houses are not crowded closely together, and where you will be free from the interference of enemies”).—Letter 5, 1904. {CL 9.5}
• Go OUT of All Church denominations; (for they teach for doctrine the commandments of men.) The Word of God says: (2Timothy 3:1-5 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he thatbelieveth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.)”
Notice the CONDITION OF ACCEPTANCE WITH GOD is “COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BE YE SEPARATE!!!” This is the requirement of God. This is the message of Revelation 14.
“God has ever REQUIRED his people to REMAIN SEPARATE from the world, that they might not be allured from their allegiance to Him… It was to SEPARATE the church of Christ from the corrupting influence of the world that the first angel’s message was given. But with the multitude even of professed Christians, the ties which bound them to earth were stronger than the attractions heavenward. ” {Vol. 4 Spirit of Prophecy pg. 230, 231}
IS THE MIDNIGHT CRY FOR CATHOLICS AND PROTESTANTS OF SUNDAY KEEPING CONGREGATIONS?
No! For we are told: “The proclamation of this time message was another step in the fulfillment of the parable of the marriage, whose application to the experience of Adventists had already been clearly seen.” {4SP 248}
“History has been and will be repeated.” {RH, February 5, 1901 par. 5}
“My mind was carried to the FUTURE, when the signal will be given. “Behold the Bridegroom cometh, God ye OUT to meet Him!” {RH Feb. 11, 1896 Par. 6}
“I saw that God had honest children among the nominal Adventists, and the fallen churches, and ministers and people will yet be called out from these churches, before the plagues shall be poured out, and they will gladly embrace the truth. (Is Laodicea presenting truth? NO! They are teaching the wine of Babylon) “Satan knows this, and before the loud cry of the third angel, raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think God is with them. (See- if we truly believe the chart messages we will OBEY God and come out) “He (Satan) hopes to deceive the honest, and lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light will shine, and every one of the honest ones will leave the fallen churches, and take their stand with the remnant.” {1SG 172.1}
So we see that the Midnight cry goes to the Adventist Church members first and when rejected by the majority of the members their probation will close and the midnight cry will swell into the loud cry going then to those of the Sunday keeping world.
So if you are struggling to understand the midnight cry from some speaker that has refused to obey the COMMAND of God in Matthew 25 and come out of Laodicea, know of a certain that he is so inebriated with the Wine of Babylon that he cannot know the truth of this hour.
Remember that the strait testimony is “TO the laodiceans” not FROM them! They will never give the loud cry!
“I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God’s people.
I saw that the testimony of the True Witness has not been half heeded. The solemn testimony upon which the destiny of the church hangs has been lightly esteemed, if not entirely disregarded. This testimony must work deep repentance; all who truly receive it will obey it, and be purified.”{CET 176} (Notice that it is not the Sunday law upon which the destiny of the church hangs, but if we receive and obey the solemn testimony given by the True Witness, upon which our destiny hangs. The Testimony is that the Adventist Church has become so corrupt that she will never turn around therefore the honest in heart are to come out and be separate or they will receive of her plagues)
As a friend in Christ just emailed me: “The ‘church’ is what is left when the pastor leaves and the building burns down.”
The Greek word for ‘church’ is ecclesia which means ‘the called out’.
