How much time did you spend with God today? First of all let us see how many minutes are in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, equals 1440 minutes in one day. So let us break down the average American’s day.
The average person sleeps 450 minutes per day, and if over 50 spends 540 minutes sleeping. Then spends 67 minutes a day eating. The average American over 50 years old has spent 428 minutes today watching TV, and those less than 50 have spent 282, While at the same time spending 282 minutes on their smart phones looking at them an average of 86 times during the waking hours of the day. The average American spends 456 minutes a day at the workplace, and 90 minutes to get there an back. Then there is the 156 minutes per day spent on household duties. As well as all the many other minutes we spend in a day that are not even considered in this short study.

So the average person is very busy considering that they spend more minutes in a day than there are in a day doing the things they do. So how many minutes a day did you spend in your Bible?
Something to think about, if you plan to make a long trip (go to heaven) and spend the rest of your life with someone you love (Jesus Christ) how many minutes a day would you expect to spend with this person you love? If you are like the average “professed christian” maybe you had better make some adjustments to your minutes in the day usage. Remember Jesus is coming to get His friends i.e. those who love Him, and spend time with Him. Do you really love Him? and spend time with Him? You might find that if you use some of those wasted minutes each day, in the Word of God, your character will change for the better.
