How Long Halt Ye Between Two Opinions? If the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow Him !

     Take a good look around you at “Fractured Christianity”; where everyone is looking to the preachers of this day for their salvation. “His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.” Isa. 56:10  Sleeping ministers preaching to a sleeping people !  The preachers all have their hands out for money. “Pay me, and I will come preach to you” !! Ugh, makes me want to puke ! Do you really think you can buy salvation ? There is Only One Bible, so why then are there so many creeds and teachings ? “How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.” 1Kings 18:21  Yes, I already said that, but did you get it ? The Bible is so simple that a little child can understand it and yet the most learned men cannot explain it. So why do you continue to go to “learned men” for an explanation ? “The majority are usually to be found on the side of error and falsehood. The fact that ‘doctors of divinity’ have the world on their side does not prove them to be on the side of truth and of God. The wide gate and the broad road attract the multitudes, while the strait gate and the narrow way are sought only by the few.” 4SP p. 214   

     “If they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is some light in them.” Isa. 8:20 What, do you think I quoted that text wrong? Isn’t that what you really believe ? This is how the majority act that continually go back to drink at the polluted fountain ! The whole time telling me that “no man has all the light,” so I should not judge so harshly. Oh, you foolish, blind laodiceans, the text says that there is NO Light ! Get it ? NO LIGHT ! NONE ! If there is NO LIGHT, that means it is nothing but Darkness; it is full of Error’s ! 

       Many of you claim to have left the “Church” because of the apostasy there and yet you continue to cling to the apostasy and even commit greater errors than they of the “Church.” “Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?” Eze 20:30 “Yet they hearkened not unto me,(God) nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.” Jer 7:26 “But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.” Jer 7:24 “But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.” Jer 7:23 

     You would not know how many times we have videos sent to us telling how wonderful they are. We receive DVD’s of three different men “teaching” on the same subject, yet teaching three opposing view points. Even to the point of “proving” the other men’s teaching wrong and yet we are told all three sermons are just what “God’s people” need today. Really, they need confusion, error, counterfeits, and apostasy ? 

     Wake up people, “Your redemption draweth nigh.” Lk. 21:28 Are you ready ? Have you washed your robe ? Yes, you have to wash your own Robe ! (see publication: “White Robes”) “These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” Rev. 7:14 Their; & they; that’s you ! You must wash your own robe. You have a job, a Work to do, Now ! Today ! 

     By now, if you are still reading, you are probably thinking of me as “judgmental,” “harsh,” “not Christ like,” “un-Loving,” and even “cruel.” Really? If you were driving fast down a road and I knew that just around the next corner the bridge was out, wouldn’t you want me to warn you, that is unless you have a death wish? Or, what if your apartment house was on fire on the first floor and you are on the fifth floor, wouldn’t you want to be warned so that you could flee,  before it is too late ? Oh, but that is different you say, I couldn’t see the danger in either of your examples. Well just maybe you can NOT see the danger you are in spiritually either ! Just maybe the NLP’ed pastor who is using “spiritual formation,” or the “independent” preacher (many of which are ex-criminals, who are given the choice to preach what they are told or another 20 in the pit) which was hired to destroy the “Truth as it is in Jesus.” Paid to deceive the “professed” people who have “Come Out,” directing them back to the “mother Church;” Or just maybe you are still just a little intoxicated with the wine of Babylon; Or just maybe you are still a sleeping Laodicean, who has a profession without the works. Or ! OR ! 

     Many of these “hirelings” are teaching that the true comes before the Counterfeit. Really, I guess they haven’t read what the spirit of the Lord says, “notwithstanding the wide-spread declension of faith and piety in the churches, the Lord still has honest children among them; and before his judgments shall be visited upon the earth, many ministers and lay-members will separate from these bodies and gladly receive the special truths for this time. The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work, and before the time shall come for such a movement, (The counterfeit comes before the genuine is even in sight, it has all the foundational pillars of the faith, but has No Obedience to the Commands of God.) he (Satan) will arouse what appears to be great religious interest in the churches. (note: the majority of the “present truth preachers” are clinging the rotting corpse of the “Church Organization.”) They will exult that God is working marvelously for them, when the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious guise, Satan will spread his influence over the land. He hopes to deceive many by leading them to think that God is still with the churches.” 4SP p. 295 

     “Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Isa. 2:22  

     “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from allsin.”  1Jn 1:7

     “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.” 1Jn 5:3 

     “And this is love, that we walk after His commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.” 2Jn 1:6

     People it is time to Stop going to Church and be the church. Do Right ! Do you have a profession of righteousness when in public or  are you a 7 day a week 24 hour a day Christian, obeying All the light presented in the Word of God? You may not wish to believe me, but this is a hard message of love to each of you, my friends. 

Dress Reform Testimony

I fill this request for a brief sketch of my experience in dress reform to help other Christian women see the necessity of picking up their cross and following Christ out of their love for Jesus.  If I may help and encourage someone else through my simple testimony of how God broke my stubborn heart and dropped the scales from my eyes, I shall be glad to give this account to those that are in the valley of decision about dress reform and what God requires of all them that are His.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”  Rev. 12:11 

“His education was gained from heaven-appointed sources, from useful work, from the study of the Scriptures and of nature, and from the experiences of life– God’s lesson books, full of instruction to all who bring to them the willing heart, the seeing eye, and the understanding heart.”  {8T 222.3} 

When I was a preteen my parents were baptized into the Adventist church and my Father began reading the Spirit of Prophecy counsels. He demanded that we girls wear dresses nine inches from the floor and that they be modest with longer sleeves that were then popular. This was in the early to mid 1970s so back then to be in a dress was rather common as the hippy movement had women in dresses. I don’t  recall anyone ever asking me if I was from that group, but I do recall as a young girl having many people inquire at the grocery stores if we were Seventh- day Adventists. So I know that there were many more women back then dressing according to the instructions given us from the Servant of the Lord.

When I got to W.W. Community College however, there was a very different tone that I had to meet and that was one of ridicule about my clothing. I not only received it at school, but also at church. So the necklines began to come down, the hem line began to go up, the sleeves came off and I was looking more and more like the world, and sad to say by the end of that year, I was wearing pants as well. This trend of the tight jeans went on through College and into my marriage. My husband and I had decided when we married that we were not going to have religion in our home that made us two faced bigots, so I continued to dress like the world for several years, until we had two children in our home. Then God began knocking upon my hearts door and I finally surrendered to Him.

One of the first things that I began to think about was the counsel on dress, when  I talked to my husband about it and he said: “I don’t think that there is anything to change! Nobody dresses like that anymore! Times have changed, you are modest enough, you dress much better than most of the women at church.  The makeup should go, but don’t worry about the pants, they are just fine, they are a lady’s pants.” For him the thinking of going with the moral majority settled the matter but my conscience told me that I must not follow a multitude to do evil; so I asked the Lord to show me what His will was, and He did!

Several days later in my morning study I came across this text.”The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” Deut. 22:5 

I knew what that verse was saying to me for in my youth I had studied through the Bible enough to know that men in old testament times wore pants- just like today.

Exo. 28:42;  Exo. 39:28;  Lev. 6:10;  Lev. 16:4;   Eze. 44:18;  All speak about the man’ s breeches to cover his loins.

As I read that verse in Deut. 22:5  I began to ask the Lord to show me if He had changed with the  times, it was now o.k. for me to wear pants, oh, how I wanted to keep my pants, but I trembled to think that it might be an abomination unto the Lord! For I knew that God has warned us that: “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”  Rev. 21:27 

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”  Rev. 21:8 

The very next day after coming to the Deut. 22:5 verse – I was reading in the Spirit of Prophecy as I nursed my 4 month old son, and came to this statement: “A Distinction in Dress of Men and Women.–There is an increasing tendency to have women in their dress and appearance as near like the other sex as possible and to fashion their dress very much like that of men, but God pronounces it abomination. “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety.” 1 Timothy 2:9. . . .  {CG 427.2} 

     God designed that there should be a plain distinction between the dress of men and women, and has considered the matter of sufficient importance to give explicit directions in regard to it; for the same dress worn by both sexes would cause confusion and great increase of crime.”  {CG 427.3} 

This statement shook me up! I looked at my sweet baby boy in my arm, he had fallen asleep while nursing and looked so innocent and helpless. I breathed a prayer to my heavenly Father asking Him to show me if the way I was dressing would really cause Him to become confused and lost. As I sat there with a battle raging in my mind. Our two year old daughter came out of her bedroom, went over to the T.V. (which we should not have had in our home, but still did at that time) and switched it on. Usually when she did this I would ask her to turn it back off and leave it alone. But as the battle in my mind was raging I was ready for a diversion, so I absent mindedly began watching the Oprah Winfrey show.

At first they had a fashion show of women modeling sexy  clothing, as the 10 women walked back and forth to show off their attire, the thought went through my mind: “Something is seriously wrong here!” but as the audience whistled and whooped and some fellow shouted out “Hey, Samantha -Baby, I want to take you out tonight”- to one of the fashion show ladies, I sat in that stupid state in front of that T.V. watching it all without moving. Then Oprah said: “Now today we have a BIG, BIG surprise for you! We will show it to you right after this break. ———–Commercials —————and back to the Oprah Show. As it started again I was still trying not to think about the book laying open beside me on the couch. And what God was trying to tell me;  what I knew was going to bring ridicule and possibly the loss of several good friendships in my life.  Then as I was thinking I was jarred back to the program as Oprah announced the name of a man Sammy. “Sammy” she said, “Cross dresses for a living and this is him in his regular clothing.” Then the fashion show of MEN came out! Those that had shortly before dressed as women and fooled the audience. As they all sat down in chairs the audience erupted into shouts, some with joy, some with anger. The fellow who had been yelling to “Samantha, Baby” was angry that he had been fooled. He shouted obscenities to Sammy and said that there was not a gay bone in his body; that Sam had no right to fool him like that. Sammy took it all with a broad smile, then said. “You have no right talking to me like that, the man in the audience erupted again and yelled some more, then Sammy said “Would you speak to my mother like that? or to your mother like that? No! I don’t think you would, yet my mother and probably yours as well has cross dressed for years and no one has called them the filthy names that you just called me! This is my life! I do this for a living! I make a good living at it. I look pretty as a woman, just as I think that many women look very handsome dressed as men! You need to apologize for the way you are treating me. I do NOT DESERVE THIS ILL TREATMENT!”

I carefully lifted my sleeping son up and put him in the bassinet, then I turning off the T.V. got on my knees and asked the Lord to give me the strength to stand for Him, no matter the cost or how many people ridiculed me.

It was not an easy road! There was much persecution along the way. From those in the church more than those in the world. For several years whenever I was in public I was asked: Are you an Adventist? But in the last 12 to 15 years the question has been? What sort of Mennonite are you that you wear no cap? Adventism has gone so very far away from the counsel on dress that the worldly people never suspect me to be following “Counsels on Dress” for that group of people.

I wept as the Gay/Lesbian marriage law went into effect a few days ago;  for I realize that the way Christian women dress is one of the reasons that this law has been passed. It is the fault of the women of the church for dressing in a way that is a total and complete abomination to the God of heaven. The word of God is right. We were warned that:  the same dress worn by both sexes would cause confusion and great increase of crime.”  {CG 427.3} 

How about you dear Sister? Are you willing to repent and turn to God? Are you willing to be singular? Are you willing to stop being an abomination to the Lord? If you do not follow the counsel God has given you on how to dress, you will NOT see the kingdom of Heaven! No Abominable thing will enter there.

Go to the Word of God and the Spirit of Prophecy and study out how we are to dress and begin today to bring your life- and the lives of your girls into harmony with God’s counsel.

I pray that you will turn to the Lord and seek salvation before it is forever too late.
